IT’S WINTER BLUES NiTE at THE CORKTOWN UKULELE JAM!
That’s right folks it’s all-Blues nite in Corktown, featuring open-mic special guest host David Gillis and an all-blues workshop presented by our very own David Olson and Nick Tustin.

Sign up for open-mic now to secure your performance position for that blues tune you’ve been holding for this moment.
Performers: remember that a tuned uke is a happy uke... and a happy uke means an appreciative audience!

Workshop begins in the back room Corktown Lounge at 8:00pm sharp
Food and drink at the Dominion is fab and the company formidable.
We expect a big turn-out and very busy night – so come as early as you can, claim your seat and enjoy the company.
If you find it difficult to get there for 8pm, have a drink in the front room and we’ll look forward to seeing you at the break, shortly after 9.

Reminder: our all-inclusive, best-entertainment-deal-in-town $5 cover charge is in effect.
(uke players and guests, workshop open-mic or both).

A WORD FROM TONY BURNS
UKE NiTErs, we need your input to come up with a short list of songs that we could perform from memory. To that end we would ask you to nominate 3 songs from the current Jambook. You can find the current list and the address to mail your suggestions here

torontoUKESters ROCK CBC’s "GO!"
Canada was listening to CBC Radio 1’s "GO" this past Saturday morning when Jimmy The Uke, Dan Misener and yours truly joined host Brent Bambury and producer Peter Morey (both cujamWEST members) to look at quirky hobbies. Our challenge was to bust out and end the show with a hockey song chosen by the audience. They chose WE WILL ROCK YOU. We told them that while we didn’t know that one, we could come pretty close with one called WE WILL ROCK UKE. They accepted, we rocked out, Team Canada won. ’Nuff said!
Miss it? Click LISTEN on the main menu above to launch our player and look for it in the main program listing...

COUNTING THE DAYS
Only one more week and we are whole once again.
While we’re happy that David Newland has been able to get away for some much needed RnR(nU I hope!)- we’re really missing his wisdom, keel and presence. Looking forward to seeing you back, Buddy!

In the meanwhile, see you Wednesday for lotsa ukulele love and our best Blues Nite *EVER*!
