17 open-mic performance positions up for grabs.
To qualify, your song must be written or performed by Paul Simon, Art Garfunkel or both.
Yes, songs from their respective solo careers definitely make the list - as do songs written by either that were ultimately performed by other people.

If you are reading this note from our website and do not receive our weekly emails, you need to be subscribed on the home page of this site(subscribing once gets you on our weekly distribution list).
This month’s open-mic will be hosted by our very own David Newland and the preceding workshop will be presented by Steve McNie.
Performers! remember that a tuned uke is a happy uke... and a happy uke means an appreciative audience!

Food and drink at the Dominion is fab and the company formidable.
We expect a huge turn-out and very busy night – so come as early as you can, claim your seat and enjoy the company.
If you find it difficult to get there for 8pm, have a drink in the front room and we’ll look forward to seeing you at the break, shortly after 9.
Reminder: our all-inclusive, best-entertainment-deal-in-town $5 cover charge is in effect for this event.
(uke players and guests, workshop open-mic or both).

OUR MOST RECENT UKE NiTE WORKSHOP DECK
Is now posted from a link on the top-left of the UKE NiTE! home page. Special thanks to Dan Misener for introducing us to that awesome Ben Lee call-response tune, Surrender.
If you are excited about playing along with Buena Vista Social Club’s Chan Chan via YouTube, be sure to pick one of the non-live versions: the studio version is in our key (Dm), but they cranked it up a tone to Em when they landed it live in Amsterdam and at Carnegie Hall. The recorded track will be streamed on our torontoUKES audio player shortly: hit LISTEN on the main menu. You’ll find it in the player under the JAMBOOK channel.
There’s a unique treat in store next UKE NiTE for the occassion of adding lyrics to Moondance.
Keep working that Am-Bm7-Am-Bm7 progression.
In the meanwhile, see you Wednesday for lotsa ukulele love and our best Simon & Garfunkel Nite *EVER*!
