OUR FIRST-EVER TRIBUTE TO FOLK & ROOTS MUSIC!
Your collective voice has been heard and told us you by vote that you wanted a folk orientation to our next Corktown Ukulele Jam when the whole evening connects to FOLK & ROOTS music.

This month’s open-mic will be hosted by David Newland and the preceding workshop will be presented by Steve McNie and Dan Misener.
Our open-mic and workshop will be devoted entirely to music that is would be apropos to music that might be presented at a summer folk festival.
If what you have in mind does not subscribe to this theme, kindly reserve your performance for another evening.

Workshop begins in the back room Corktown Lounge at 8:00pm sharp. Please plan to arrive on time, seated, tuned and ready to play at 8.
Food and drink at the Dominion is fab and the company formidable.
We expect a huge turn-out and very busy night – so come as early as you can, claim your seat and enjoy the company.
Once workshop begins, we appreciate keeping interruptions to a minimum. If you find it difficult to get there for 8pm, have a drink in the front room and we’ll look forward to seeing you at the break, shortly after 9.

Reminder: our all-inclusive, best-entertainment-deal-in-town $5 cover charge is in effect for this event.
(uke players and guests, workshop open-mic or both).

IMPORTANT: REGARDING PERFORMANCE COMPLEXITY
We’re loving the unique ensembles hitting our stage and find it gratifying that so many of you are enjoying prepping outside of the jam.
Sound IS an issue: please bear in mind that stage real estate and mic’s are limited - and we have very little time to set you up between performances.
If your performance involves more than 3 people and/or if your are introducing non-uke instruments, please discuss your vision with Steve before you sign up.
Performers! remember that a tuned uke is a happy uke... and a happy uke means an appreciative audience!

Open-mic sign-up is online and in advance, first-come, first served as usual.
IF YOU ARE ATTENDING, THIS IS YOUR OFFICIAL SIGN-UP eMAIL
If you are reading this note from our website and do not receive our weekly emails, you need to be subscribed on the home page of this site (subscribing once gets you on our weekly distribution list).
