A room full of people with ukuleles? Welcome to the ukontinuum!
We are a diverse community energized by a common love for music.
We are obsessively committed to setting the bar for people of all ages, backgrounds, style interests and abilities to experience making music as a collective.
Show up any Wednesday at 7:30pm for a sense of how we roll and what it is that packs our house week after week.
We strive to keep it "mostly free and always reasonable".

At the epicentre of Toronto's vibrant uke scene, the Corktown Ukulele Jam offers a refreshing spin on how music enriches lives through a contemporary, uke-centric learning program of workshops, clinics, camps and private lessons called get your strum on!

The Corktown Ukulele Jam happens EVERY Wednesday 7:30-11pm
While we also present a variety of programs for teens and children, this event is reserved for adults.
One Wednesday of each month our whole evening connects with a theme.
They're all a blast, but theme nites are extra-special.

We make our home in the Corktown Lounge of Toronto's legendary
Dominion on Queen
500 Queen Street East, Toronto ON | MAP 
(at Sumach, 2nd light west of the DVP)

Our weekly workshop (7:30-8:45pm) is $6 at the door.
After 9pm most nites are FREE
After 9pm theme nites: $3

Corktown Ukulele Jam: first hour workshop is lead by Steve McNie 7:30 workshop | $6
Presented by Steve McNie whose teaching has inspired hundreds of uke players. There is something for everyone of all playing levels and musical interests.

8:45pm we fill our glasses and mingle.

Corktown Ukulele Jam co-founder along with Steve McNie 9-11pm | FREE (theme nites $3)
Regular nites it's a 1h group jam on songs that have been selected by vote by those attending. Group jam is followed by Toronto's most happening open stage with a hosted line-up of up to 7 performers.

Theme nites it's open stage in the main room with a hosted line-up of up to 17 performers.

Sign-up for open-stage is online in advance.

If you are leading a song or would like to introduce a new song into our jam book, Corktunes, please bring it as a powerpoint doc on a memory key.

June 16, 2010 - In Toronto for Moses Znaimer's IDEA CITY conference, Jake dropped by the Corktown Ukulele Jam and spontaneously performed, spoke and signed ukes for the better part of an extraordinary 2.5 hours. Jake's impromptu visit will become an indelible memory for those of us fortunate enough to have been there.

  • JELENA ADZIC took a uke lesson on the Dominion patio while she got our story for what was sadly the final broadcast of CBC Newsworld's Weekend Scene
  • MARK HOLMES is in a perfect position to offer perspective on Toronto's most happening weekly stage. In addition to producing this enlightening piece, Mark helped make the Dominion our home by working the other side of the bar
